Five-Minute-Friday: Favorite Things...

From Gypsy Mama:
Five minutes to just write, and not worry if it’s just right or not. Kind of like how the rest of my life is at the moment.
A few of my favorite things….

I love the silly things that God has created, like giraffes and peacocks.

I love organization, although I don't use it enough!

I love splashing in puddles with my son! It's so simple and messy and I love the snuggling that comes after when we are working on getting warm.

My favorite times are when we are away from the clutter of the house and school things; the times when we can sit and enjoy nature; when we can talk about geese and why they do the things they do.

That's it. No editing. Publish post now!

  1. I'm with you on the organization! Happy splashing.

  2. Giraffes and peacocks, indeed. I do wonder what he was thinking...
Spending time with your kids is so priceless. As a mom of two over twenty, and listening to them as they reminisce about moments just like the kind you have mentioned, I am so glad we spent that time. I have no doubt you will as well.

  3. I can totally relate to loving organization even though I don't always practice it! Great list:)

  4. Ha! I so love your mention of giraffes and peacocks. Once I learned the male peacocks were the "pretty ones", they always made me giggle.

  5. I love peacocks! So often we went to Waimea Falls when we lived in Hawaii and they roamed freely and wildly. They are beautiful!!1 I love hanging out with my little guys. I am keenly aware that this time is not forever.

  6. Hey, thanks for stopping by! It's good to see that I have a fellow word-lover and craft-lover around blogland! Sometimes I feel like my blog is torn between the two, so I smiled when I saw that you were linked to both The Gypsy Mama and SYTYC! :) Great minds think alike, as they say.

Thanks again for your kind words, new friend. Keep enjoying the little things...

  7. Great list of favorites!!

The colors on the peacocks feathers are exquisite!'

Thank you for linking up as well. :)
