Rob is not a Runner

My husband started a new blog with a new life-goal.  I am so proud of him!!

Rob is not a Runner

I can't wait to see how far he goes.  I was gonna start training for a marathon but found out that I'm pregnant instead.  No marathon for me, but it is so amazing to see my husband up and running, having more energy and being excited to be a dad all over again!

If you start from the beginning, his blog posts make more sense.  He is a creative writer with a sense of humor, so check it out and enjoy!

Two Bonnets

My sister and her daughter wearing the bonnets I whipped up. Too cute!

Prairie Bonnet

I made a quick bonnet for my niece. She is going to love it! It's a bit small, but my 8 year old niece is very tiny, so I hope it's perfect. Off to make another one for her mom!

And, trying out this linky party:

Baby Blankets

I wanted to post the baby blankets that I finished today. Pink with hearts and Gingham with Pooh Bear. I think a sweet baby girl is gonna feel special!!

Robot Valentines

My son decided he wanted robot valentines this year, so pinterest was my friend in helping me find a robot idea.

Here is what we came up with. My son LOVED drawing the faces on his robots, making them silly and fun!

Penguin Week

My son's first grade class is learning about penguins this week. Thursday is for dressing in black and white attire.
Although the orange penguin would have been cute for this week, I wanted to do something in black and white so he would match his class. A splash of love to share with a felt heart, too!

This was my first time stitching around the sides like this. So, definitely room for improvement, but I think he will still be stylin' in this penguin love shirt!

Red Tank

This red knit tank was a bit too small as I've gained those winter pounds.

I had some extra black knit hanging around and thought it would look great with this top!

Adding width to both sides, I think the tank looks fabulous! My husband didn't even know that I had been the one to sew those stripes on! WIN!

With a cute black sweater, I'm all ready for V-day!

And Your Kiss

My son and I have watched "Happy Feet" so many times that we sing right along with the songs when they play on the radio.

This is our favorite scene. My son asks me often if we make a heart when we put our foreheads and noses together!

So, for V-day, I made him a shirt. No red, girly hearts or bows. No sir!
Orange and penguins for this kid!
I used the reverse applique technique, finding out it is super-dee-duperdee easy.
I sketched out a design, cut it and traced it onto the shirt.
Then, I attached the black knit to the inside of the shirt, and stitched around my design.

Then I cut out the orange in the middle very carfully. For the inside of the shirt, I trimmed the black along the outside of the design,
Done and in LOVE!
