This was an excercise contraption that consisted of a velcro strap and an elastic band. The strap was long enough to fit around his waist. As soon as I put it on him he said "Look Daddy, I'm a puppy!" and started to crawl and bark.
I couldn't resist letting him stretch it tight and see what he'd do when it pulled him back. The funniest thing was that he did it over and over.
Him squeaking backward along the floor just cracks me up!
